Father allegedly kills daughter in Navi Mumbai, chops body and stuffs in a briefcase to dispose

Mumbai: In a yet another horrific crime on the woman, a young girl was chopped to death by his father in Navi Mumbai for putting the request of marrying her chosen one in front of her father. The father who could not digest to her daughter's wish took a horrible decision of killing her brutally.

The accused killed her daughter and chopped the body, packing it in a suitcase. However, he was caught by auto-rickshaw drive while the culprit is travelling in the auto to dump the body elsewhere.

With the auto driver recognising the incident due to the foul smell coming out from the bag, the father has fled from the scene. The Thane crime branch launched a probe and traced a man named Arvind Tiwari. Aged 47, a resident of Titwala. The man confessed the crime. He said that in spite of multiple warning, her daughter didn't oblige to him, which led to an altercation and took a final decision.

The man has been taken into custody at Kalyan Railway station after scrutinising the CCTV footages.
