Food delivery man chases thieves for 5kms, gets his phone back in Bengaluru

In a freak incident, a food delivery man chased after thieves for nearly 5 kms and got back his mobile phone. This incident happened when the victim was searching for an address to deliver an order near Bommanahalli in Bengaluru on Thursday.

Going into details, J Yashwanth (18) is a resident of Rayasandra on Hosa road, works as a food delivery man. As part of his job, he was searching for an address near Bommanahalli area when two thieves approached him on the bike on the service road at Garvebhavipalya junction.

The accused attacked Yashwanth by hitting on the head and snatched his phone and escaped from the spot. Despite bleeding from the head, Yashwanth chased them on his bike and somehow managed to catch them near the Ganesh temple with the help of the locals.

The accused identified as Imran Khan (21), and his friend Ummar Zaid (23), who were the first time offenders. On receiving the information, the police arrived at the site and took the accused into their custody.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment and was able to recover his stolen phone. On the incident, Bommanahalli police registered a case and investigating further.
