The BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday, lashed out at the Congress leadership over the politicisation of the Galwan Valley clash on June 15 which left 20 Indian military personnel martyred. Nadda, in a series of tweets, pointed out that under the UPA regime, "Siachen glacier was almost gone" and that thousands of square kms of land had been lost. Nadda in one of his Twitter posts embedded a reply from the Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed in the UPA cabinet to a question in the Rajya Sabha on 22.11. 2012 on the issue of land under illegal occupation by Pakistan and China along the border. The question also related to whether China and Pakistan had changed the features of land occupied illegally by them and the steps taken by the government in this regard.

The Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed in the Manmohan Singh government, replied that Pakistan had been in illegal occupation of approximately 78,000 sq km of Indian territory in Jammu and Kashmir. He also admitted that China continues to be in illegal occupation of approximately 38,000 sq km in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The UPA Minister also stated that Pakistan had ceded 5,180 sq kms of Indian territory in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) to China.

The UPA Minister's reply in the Rajya Sabha also stated that the government remains continually vigilant and is firm in its resolve to take all necessary steps to effectively safeguard India's security and territorial integrity. Ahamed further said that the UPA government was aware that Pakistan and China were executing projects in Indian territories under illegal occupation of those countries.

Nadda in another tweet described the Gandhi family as a rejected and ejected dynasty and added that it is not equal to the entire Opposition. He added--"One dynasty's interests are not India's interests. Today, the nation is united and supportive of our armed forces. This is the time for unity and solidarity." In a dig at the revival of Rahul Gandhi's political revival, the BJP President said, "Relaunch of 'the scion' for the nth time can wait."

The BJP President acknowledged that the opposition has every right to ask questions. He added, "The All Party Meeting saw healthy deliberations, with several Opposition leaders giving their valuable inputs. They also fully supported the Centre in determining the way ahead." In an oblique reference to Sonia Gandhi and the Congress Party, Nadda added, "One family was an exception. Any guesses who?"

The BJP President remarked that one dynasty and its loyal courtiers do not add up to the entire opposition. Nadda said, "One 'royal' dynasty and their 'loyal' courtiers have grand delusions of the Opposition being about one dynasty. A dynast throws tantrums and his courtiers peddle that fake narrative. Latest one relates to the the Opposition asking questions to the Government."
