German Ambassador calls on Kejriwal

New Delhi : German Ambassador to India Walter J. Lindner on Tuesday called on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the Delhi Secretariat here.

The Ambassador showed a keen interest in various public welfare initiatives of the Delhi government and the administrative structure of the national capital, an official statement said.

"Kejriwal informed Ambassador Lindner how the Delhi government brought about the transformation in the education and health Sectors, and provided relief to the residents in electricity and water sectors," the statement said.

The Chief Minister also told the envoy that Delhi has been able to reduce the levels of air pollution by 25 per cent during last five years, but crop residue burning (stubble burning) during the months of October-November from the neighbouring states adversely impacts the air quality.
