Haryana man murders wife, stuffs dead body inside divan bed
Haryana: A woman from Bahadurgarh was murdered by her estranged husband while visiting her in-laws' place on her son's birthday. The couple was reportedly living separately for the last five years. Police suspect that the man planned the murder well in advance before his wife came to visit the family.
The Bahadurgarh police started searching the murderer's house after receiving complaints from these neighbours that a foul smell was emanating from their house. On searching, the police recovered the victim's body. The body was found stuffed in into a divan bed and has been sent for a post-mortem.
Police lodged a murder case against the woman's husband identified as Rajveer based on a complaint by her brother Akshay. They have revealed that strangle marks have been found on the victim's neck. However, further details can be disclosed only after the post-mortem is completed.
The victim identified as Lalita was from Chauhan Joshi village in Sonipat. She was wedded to Rajveer of Jasaurkhedi village in Bahadurgarh. Due to rifts in the marriage, Lalita was living in Gurugram for the last five years, as stated by her brother Akshay. She visited her in-laws' house in Bahadurgarh on November 22 to celebrate her son's birthday, but never returned to Gurugram.
The murderer sent their kids - a boy and a girl to a relatives house post which he proceeded to kill his wife and stuff her body inside a divan bed. Police say his act was premeditated. Rajeev has currently absconded and the police say they are on the lookout for him and will catch hold of him soon.
