Here are RSS leader Kalladka's views on sundry ongoing issues

MYSURU: On Wednesday in Mysuru, senior RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat had said, "No leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has political ambitions. We will not interfere in the internal affairs of the BJP". On the subject of the possible role of the RSS in choosing the next president of the Karnataka BJP, he said, "The RSS will play no role in this. BJP will take a decision on its own."

He had also sneered at the fact that the leader of a party with a mere 37 MLAs is assuming the post of the state's chief minister. He said, "It is a joke. This is the first time such a government has staked claim to power since Independence. Political uncertainty and compulsions have brought about such an eventuality."

While expressing his analysis of the coalition government in Karnataka, the senior RSS leader was a little firm. He said, "I don't feel as if there is a government in the state. Owing to the ongoing spat between leaders of the two parties, people feel as if there is no administration." "This government looks as though it could fall any time. It is possible that this might happen after May 23," he added.

Kalladka also mentioned that the tale of the saffron party marginalising senior leaders such as LK Advani was built up by the media. "Has Advani expressed any such thing?", he asked, supporting his statement.

He had refused to be involved the controversy that emerged after the dramatic remarks made by Kamal Hassan about Nathuram Godse being the country's first Hindu extremist. "I will not react to statements made by those who have lost their mental balance," he said.
