India's Greatness Lies In Spiritual Tradition: PM Modi
Varanasi: India will be judged by the greatness of its spiritual tradition, he added. The Prime Minister also said that electoral victory and defeat, as also power were immaterial, in this context.
PM Modi on Sunday, attended the 100th anniversary of the Vishwaradhya Gurukul at the Jangamwadi Math in Varanasi at which he felt fortunate to represent Kashi, a great holy centre for Hindus. He said that he always took the opportunity to acquire knowledge from saints. The people of the country were guided by these saints, PM Modi added.
UP Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Karnataka chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa were also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to launch a number of development projects in Varanasi on Sunday. The kick-off of multiple projects in PM Modi's constituency includes a 430 bed super-specialty hospital at Benaras Hindu University (BHU). The hospital will serve eastern UP and areas in Bihar close to UP as well.
The prime minister is trying to focus on the development of his constituency in a multipronged way, analysts point out. His focus is also the development of Varanasi as a medical hub. Additionally, there are projects related to animal husbandry healthcare electricity generation and skill development which will be launched by PM Modi.
Highlighting PM Modi's skill India campaign the Uttar Pradesh Institute of Design is set to be inaugurated by the prime minister. He will also inaugurate the Mahakaal Express linking the important pilgrim centres Varanasi, Ujjain and Omkareshwar.
