Karnataka floor test: Siddaramaiah says the Speaker will take a call on confidence motion

Bengaluru: Congress-JD(S) coalition government is set to face the crucial floor test in the assembly today after missing two deadlines set by the governor already. Siddaramaiah said the Speaker will take a call on confidence motion.

Earlier, Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar held a meeting with BJP leaders- Sunil Kumar, Basavaraj Bommai, CT Ravi & JD(S) leaders- Sa Ra Mahesh, HD Revanna, Bandeppa Kashempur, in his chamber after the coalition insisted that the trust vote be postponed.

On Monday, the Supreme Court refused to hear a plea of two independent MLAs seeking holding of floor test urgently. The court said it may consider the listing of the petition on Tuesday.
