Ladakh MP' Sharp Jibe At Rahul Gandhi On India-China Border Stand-Off
Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal gave a stinging response on television networks as well as the popular microblogging site Twitter to Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi on the India-China border stand-off.
The BJP Lok Sabha MP lawmaker cited three occasions over the 12 years when, according to Namgyal, China had occupied Indian territory. In his tweet Namgyal wrote that he hoped that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party would agree with the reply given by him based on facts and that they would not try to mislead people again.

Namgyal, in his post, also listed out territories that had been occupied by China beginning with Aksai Chin in 1962. He referred to 250 km long area in Chabji valley of Chumur under UPA in 2008. The Ladakh MP also referred to Zorawart Fort in Demjok destroyed by PLA in 2008 where PLA set up an observation point in 2012 and later built 13 cement houses.
Namgyal stood out after his famous speech in parliament highlighting how Ladakh had been a victim of neglect for decades by successive governments which were in power in Jammu and Kashmir. The Ladakh MP was heard in rapt silence for the most part, as he was cheered on by members of the ruling party when he spoke of the neglect the region had suffered for long years..
