Due to the number of cases waiting for more than 10 years, the whole court suggested the construction of at least ten new family courts in 2019, which has since been approved by the Lieutenant Governor. In Delhi, over 46 thousand cases are pending in the family courts. The Principal Justice of the Family Court Saket has the least number of pending cases at 1321, while the Family Court Rohini has the maximum number of 3654 cases pending.According to the Family Court Dwarka, 150 to 200 cases are filed in the Family Court every day.

Given the number of cases remaining for more than 5–10 years, this approval was granted following the Full Court's suggestion in 2019 to establish at least 10 new family courts. It is worth noting that over 46,000 cases are outstanding at the Family Court in Delhi, with the least 1321 cases pending with the Principal Justice, Family Court, Saket, and the most 3654 cases pending with the Family Court, Rohini. According to the Family Court Headquarters in Dwarka, around 150–200 cases are recorded in the Family Courts on a daily basis, and around 80 percent of the workers in these courts operate in a distinct role from other departments.
