Lok Sabha elections 2019: The easiest way to download your voter slip and ID
The phase 1 of the Lok Sabha election starts tomorrow, which is April 11. Therefore, all the citizens who are heading to vote in essentially need to check if their name is visible in the voters' list in advance. If their name appears in the voters' list, they are eligible to vote but if not, the polling booth officials will not let them exercise your franchise.
The citizens can download their voter slip or ID and carry it along with them to the polling station after checking their name in the electoral roll. Here is a step-by-step guide as to how one can download their voter slip or ID:
How to Download the Voter Slip?
Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Voter Services Portal's (NVSP)
Step 2: Scroll down to search for 'Search Your Name in Electoral Roll' and click on it. You will be directed to a new page.
Step 3: Enter your details such as your name, father/husband's name, district, state, CAPTCHA code etc. Press search
Step 4: Your name will appear at the bottom of the page
Step 5: Click on View Details' under Action' and the page will direct you to your voter slip or ID
Step 6: Click on Print Voter Information' at the bottom of your voter slip and take a print out for the phase 1 polling day
It is possible that one is not in the voting list and they are not eligible to vote in the Lok Sabha election, in case their name does not appear after following the first three steps.
