In another incident, a man has been killed by Naxals in Gadchiroli's Bhamragad area, on suspicion that he was a police informer, the police said on Monday.
The deceased has not been identified yet by the police and a thorough investigation into the matter is underway. More details in this regard are awaited.
On Saturday, a person was abducted on similar suspicion by Maoists from a marriage function in Mardhar village, the official said. The body was later found near the village, he said.
The naxals have boycotted the elections and had asked the villagers to abstain from voting. These attacks have followed the IED blasts on the Quick Response Team of Gadchiroli police in the last week killing 15 of them and a civilian driver.
The QRT was travelling to investigate the site where naxals had set ablaze 36 vehicles used in construction of road.
