A striking picture of the moon showing craters has been captured by the Chandrayaan-2. ISRO had also shared an image of Earth which was captured.
In the city of Kanpur, people had offered prayers for the success of the mission. Chandrayaan-2 will explore the region of the moon where no mission has set foot.
Our @LRO_NASA mission imaged the targeted landing site of India's Chandrayaan-2 lander, Vikram. The images were taken at dusk, and the team was not able to locate the lander.
