Pak PM Imran Khan says he's going to do a "jalsa" to show Kashmiris that Pak is with them
Pakistan PM Imran Khan took to Twitter this morning to say that the country stands with Kashmiris. He said he's going to organise a big 'Jalsa' in Muzzafarabad to show Kashmiris that Pak stands with them. This comes right after Pakistan Foreign Minister was quoted referring to Kashmir as the "Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir".
A 'Jalsa' in Islam refers to a formal gathering.
At the UNHRC meeting earlier this week, Pakistan alleged that atrocities are being committed against Kashmiris referring to the scrapping of Article 370. These claims were brushed off by India. Additionally, Pakistan has been trying to internationalise the Kashmir issue when India has clearly mentioned that the matter is of national interest only.
I am going to do a big jalsa in Muzzafarabad on Friday 13 Sept, to send a message to the world about the continuing siege of IOJK by Indian Occupation forces; & to show the Kashmiris that Pakistan stands resolutely with them.
