Parliament meeting to be held from 2 pm on Monday
New Delhi: The meeting of the two Houses of Parliament will begin at 2 pm on Monday, instead of 11 am, in view of the decrease in the means of transport due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus 'Covid-19'. Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced it on Friday.
Naidu said that the timing of Monday meeting has been changed in view of the shortfall in flights.
In the Lok Sabha, Birla said that many MPs had said in an all-party meeting on Thursday that the airline companies have changed the timing of flights due to Kovid-19.
Because of this, they are unable to come to the house at 11 am on Monday. In view of this, he requested to start the proceedings of the House late.
