Parliament rage over Hyderabad veterinary doctor's rape and murder

The issue of rape and murder of the Hyderabad veterinary doctor was raised in the parliament where the leaders condemned the act and demanded justice to the victim. The speaker Om Birla said that he has given permission for discussion on the matter after Question Hour.

Uttam Kumar Reddy condemned the statement passed by the Home Minister Mahmood Ali who said that Disha should have dialed 100 instead of calling her sister.

AIADMK MP Vijila Satyanath demanded the death penalty to the accused by December 31 and further asked to act swiftly with the fast-track court. MP Jaya Bachchan said that Disha's incident showcases the fault in security and demanded to hang the accused in public. "Common people used to give justice to criminals in other countries, these people also should be brought out in public and lynched," she said.

Earlier today, Bharatiya Janata Party lawmaker Prabhat Jha gave a Zero Hour Notice in Rajya Sabha over 'increasing crime against women-specially the incident in Hyderabad'. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh gave a suspension of Business Notice in the Upper House under rule 267, over 'increasing crime against women and Hyderabad incident.'

Trinamool Congress, TMC, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), Shiv Sena, Congress have also given an Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha over 'gang rape and killing of girls in Hyderabad'.
