PM Modi Condoles Deaths Of Migrants In UP Accident

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief at the death of 24 migrant workers in Auraiyaof Uttar Pradesh in a ghastly road accident in the wee hours of Saturday. The Prime Minister described the news of the gruesome accident as tragic and added that the government was engaged in relief operations and in assisting the victims. PM Modi also conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families. The Prime Minister offered his prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured who were admitted to hospitals.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. He added that the Uttar Pradesh government would provide an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 2 lakhs to the deceased and Rs. 50,000 to the injured.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister added that orders had been issued to provide necessary assistance to the victims including prompt medical attention. The government had also ordered an inquiry into the accident, Yogi Adityanath added.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed shock at the death of 24 migrant labourers going to Bihar and Jharkhand from Rajasthan in a tragic accident at Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh.


Rajnath Singh expressed his condolences to members of the bereaved families and offered his prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.
