PM Modi Pays Tributes To Martyrs From Bihar Regiment At Launch Of Rs. 50,000 Cr Job Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, said that the country takes pride in the bravery of its armed forces. The Prime Minister, while launching the Rs. 50,000 Crore Kalyan Rozgaar Abhiyaan, observed that the valour of soldiers of the Bihar Regiment made the country proud.
PM Modi first paid tributes to soldiers from Bihar Regiment before launching the mega employment scheme aimed at migrant returnees from six states. The Rs. 50,000 crore Kalyan Rozgaar Abhiyaan was launched from Bihar's Khagaria district and will be extended to 116 districts at the outset.
The scheme focuses on migrant returnees to a large extent in six states which have a concentration of migrant workers from industrial and urban centres who returned to their villages.
The massive employment scheme aims at generating jobs for migrants who returned to their home states from urban centres in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown.
Flagging the mega employment scheme off PM Modi complimented villagers who set up isolation facilities and facilitated the stay of migrant returnees. The Prime Minister interacted with villagers from the states and enquired about conditions during the lockdown period.
The Prime Minister pointed out the coronavirus pandemic affected the entire world. He also commended the villagers for the fortitude displayed by them during the lockdown period. PM Modi added that the government tried in every way to help the stranded migrant workers and also ran special shramik trains for them to enable them to return to their home states.
