Railways completed 200 pending Projects, during the lockdown period
While the lockdown during the Coronavirus epidemic in India became a problem for the common people, it was the best time for the railways to complete their stalled projects.
The Railways completed 200 projects stuck over its years in the lockdown period. According to the Railway Ministry, traffic was required to be stopped for a long time to complete these projects. However, due to the lockdown, these projects were completed soon.
According to the Railways, the projects on which work has been completed include 82 bridge-bridge repairing and reconstruction work. In addition 48 underbridges were completed to remove railway crossings.
Repairing and construction of 16 foot overbridge and 14 old foot overbridge were also dismantled. Also 5 yard re-modeled. 7 overbridges were built on the road and electrification was also carried out on some routes.
