New Delhi: Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad hit out at Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi for raising questions related to India-China border issue on the microblogging site, Twitter. Prasad slammed the Congress leader saying that important questions related to strategic interests of the country and national security were not asked on such social media platforms.

The Union Law Minister further said that India would resolve its differences with China in a peaceful manner through dialogue and negotiations. Ravi Shankar Prasad also said that if the issue of India's differences with respect to the border issue with China were to be debated, the Congress party's handling of the matter would also come into play, hinting that it had a much worse record on neighbourly relations with China.

Ravi Shankar Prasad further said that the Wayanad MP did not appear to have a proper grasp of economic and strategic issues.

Lashing out at Rahul Gandhi, the Union Law Minister said that the Wayanad MP was someone who demanded proof of the Balakot strike and evidence of the surgical strikes which India had conducted.

The Union Law Minister asserted that India was capable of resolving all differences over the border issue with China through dialogue and diplomatic outreach.

Rahul Gandhi has been criticising the Narendra Modi government over the border situation in the Ladakh sector over the past few days. He has regularly been sniping at the BJP government over the stand-off with China.

The Wayanad MP questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on the subject. Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, tweeted saying that the prime minister remained silent even as China has "walked in and taken our territory."
