Revanth meets Sonia; told of party affairs in Telangana State
New Delhi: Congress MP Revanth Reddy who aspires to become the PCC president, met Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi along with his family members in the national capital on Tuesday.
Sonia Gandhi reportedly asked Revanth to submit a report on state of party affairs in Telangana. Though Revanth himself did not clarify whether he was a forerunner in the race to the PCC president's post, he left nobody in doubt about his target.
It is learnt that he complained to Sonia Gandhi about the disunity prevailing in the top brass of the Telangana Congress and the inability of the present leadership to curb the same.
Revanth Reddy is also said to have complained about the ego problem of a handful of leaders who are inaccessible to the ordinary party workers."
Telangana unit was also not able to lend a direction to the party and was speaking in disjointed voices, he reportedly told her.
