School kids repaint zebra crossings in Mysuru 

Mysuru: Over 100 high school students repainted the Zebra crossing at a selected road in the city. They participated in an awareness programme on road safety, Covid -19, conservation of environment and other social issues at an event hosted by 'Kreatement events' and /The Thought School' as part of their initiative-"Fairy's touch".

Kids above 13 years of age, who are staying indoors due to coronavirus fear, enjoyed repainting zebra crossings at road from Ramaswamy circle to Ekalavya circle here. They wore masks and face shields.

Kishor Rachaiah who heads Kreatement events, said that the initiative was intended to beautify the city, nurture civic sense, social responsibility, environment sustainability and others among children, besides providing them an opportunity to showcase their creativity, he said. The event was supported by Mysuru city corporation, city police and several orangisations including GSS foundation, Rotary Club, Apollo Hospitals and others.

National arts and crafts material retailer Itsy Bitsy provided eco-friendly colours.

Mayor Tasleem, MLA Nagendra, DCP Prakash Gowda, Anirudhdha Padmanabh of The Thought School and others participated.
