Siddaramaiah downplays remarks of aides battling for me : Home Minister M.B. Patil
BENGALURU: As Siddaramaiah tried to downplay the development, supporters of the Congress leader Siddaramaiah continued to push for his second term as Chief Minister, he tried to downplay the development.
On Wednesday, in Hubli Mr. Siddaramaiah while speaking to the media said that the statements made from his followers might have been expressed out of affection for him, as per the coalition arrangement the seat of the Chief Minister was "not vacant now".
On Tuesday, Home Minister M.B. Patil stated that many want to see him as the Chief Minister again.
On Wednesday, Revenue Minister R.V. Deshpande had also joined the bandwagon by saying what was wrong in Mr. Siddaramaiah becoming the Chief Minister again.
However, room for further speculations has been given by the meeting of the former Minister and Congress leader Srinivas Prasad, JD(S) State president H Vishwanath.
