Supreme Court seeks report from all states on corona, affidavits sought from Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Assam

New Delhi: In view of the poor condition of Corona in the country, the Supreme Court on Monday has asked all the states to submit a report regarding the current situation of Corona here. The court has sought affidavits from the governments of Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Assam regarding the latest situation there since the Covid-19 cases picked up in November.

Government of Gujarat and Delhi reprimanded A three-judge bench headed by Judge Ashok Bhushan has reprimanded the Gujarat and Delhi governments for worsening the situation of Covid-19. The Supreme Court has asked all the state governments to submit a report, which will inform the steps taken by them to prevent infection, the steps to be taken and the desired help from the central government.

The Supreme Court has reprimanded the state government for marriage, ceremonies and gathering of people, despite the rise in Corona cases in Gujarat. The court said that Gujarat is the worst state after Delhi and Maharashtra.

The bench will next hear the matter on Friday. The bench of Justice Ashok Bhushan said that the situation is expected to be serious in the coming months. The court said that it is our opinion that all the states should be ready to deal with the disease in the coming days. The court said that all the states should submit an affidavit of their situation before the next hearing.
