This Sunday, thinking to quit social media, PM Narendra Modi tweets

In the latest development Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday tweeted stating that he would give up on social media be it Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube respectively from next Sunday.

The tweet reads, "this Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will keep you all posted."

PM Modi who is one of the most followed world leaders on social media has amassed 53.3 million followers on Twitter, 44 million on Facebook, 35.2 million on Instagram and 4.5 million on YouTube. Modi joined Twitter in January 2009 before he became prime minister of India.

On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at PM Modi stating him to give up hatred, rather than social media accounts.
