Bengaluru: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu called upon the Telugu speaking people in Karnataka to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi was defeated in the

elections. This should be the last election for the Prime Minister Narendra, Naidu said.

Participating in a series of meetings in areas which have considerable Telugu population, Naidu explained in detail why the BJP should not be allowed to come to power.

He made a detailed presentation of how the Centre had failed to extend a helping hand to Andhra Pradesh and how it created chaos in the state by conniving with the YSRCP and TRS and had caused hurdles even in ongoing developmental works.

The AP CM said Modi was a man who believes in politics of vendetta. If someone questions him, he would order IT and ED raids on them and stoops down to any level to take revenge.

"If he comes back to power this would be the last elections. If he wins, we will not be able to hold any meeting even in Sriramnagar. Even my entry into Karnataka may be banned.

That is Modi's attitude. Hence voters should exercise their vote with utmost care and see that the BJP and Modi are dumped in sea," he said.

Naidu said he was trying to bring all the anti-BJP forces on to one platform to save democracy and everyone should join him in this effort.

Protecting democracy should be the responsibility of all not of a single person, he added. He said the role of Telugus in the development of Karnataka was commendable.

Because of their hard work, the state has turned into food bowl. He said he would ensure that Andhra and Karnataka would get equal amount of Tungabhadra waters.

Naidu referred to the slew of welfare measures that have been taken up in Andhra Pradesh despite non-cooperation from the Centre and said they were implemented without considering to which party or community they belonged to.

Showring praises on Rahul Gandhi, he said Rahul is one who looks at welfare for all unlike Modi.

Naidu also criticised Modi for using all issues like terrorist attack on Sri Lanka and the Pulwama issue and the actions that followed for elections.
