Two more lakes of India included in wetland areas, Prakash Javadekar tweeted information
New Delhi: India has added Lonar Lake in Maharashtra and Sur Sarovar in Agra to the list of destinations recognized under the Ramsar Convention. The information was tweeted by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar.
Happy to note that India has added two more Ramsar sites.

He wrote, very happy to know, India has added two more Ramsar sites. The only crater lake in the country is Lonar Lake in Maharashtra and Sur Sarovar of Agra which is also known as Ketham Lake. Also, written Wetlands is the world's natural water filter and one of the most productive ecosystems on Earth.
