V. Srinivas Prasad criticizes remarks made by the PM against Rajiv Gandhi
MYSURU: BJP leader and former Union Minister V. Srinivas Prasad criticised the remarks made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi against former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
On Wednesday, Mr. Prasad told the media, "When he (Rajiv Gandhi) is no more, saying that he died as Bhrashtachari No. 1 does not reflect well on Mr. Modi's leadership. His name was dragged into Bofors scam, but he was never involved."
Mr. Prasad, by referring to his one-hour discussion with Mr. Vishwanath said that, they spoke regarding the future of governance at the Centre, but not about the coalition government in the State.
The BJP, which provided a stable government at the Centre for the past five years, seems to be stronger when compared to the United Progressive Alliance under Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
"We had been meeting often before, but had not met since long," he added.
