Virtual meeting between PM Modi and President of Uzbekistan, said - stand firmly against terrorism

New Delhi: Today there was a virtual meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Uzbekistan Shaukat Mirziyoyev. In this meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a conversation with the President of Uzbekistan, Shavket Mirziyoyev, that India and Uzbekistan have stood firmly together against terrorism.

Prime Minister Modi said that we have similar views about regional security. India and Uzbekistan are two rich civilizations, we have been in constant contact since ancient times. There is a lot of commonality in our understanding and approach to the challenges and opportunities of our region and hence our relationship has always been very strong.

Prime Minister Modi further said that we have similar concerns about extremism, fundamentalism and separatism. We both stand firmly together against terrorism, we also have a similar approach on regional security issues.
