Padmaja and Ravinder Rao of Warangal district, who are cultivating rare medicinal plants along with vegetables and fruits, have stood as inspiration for many. Padmaja, who noticed that vegetables and fruits found in the market are mostly cultivated with the usage of chemicals started growing the herbs and medicinal plants at her home premises in terrace gardens

Although Padmaja has to face difficulties in the early stages, yet with her strong determination, she learnt how to yield crops at home. At present Padmaja is said to be cultivating a variety of fruits and vegetables and medicinal plants as well.

As the prices of fruits and vegetables are skyrocketing in the markets, Padmaja says that the cultivating the fruits and vegetables at our home premises would not only save money but also chemical-free.

As part of growing crops, Natural fertilizer mixture is used for planting with minimum use of soil. Apart from fruits and vegetables, herbicides are also developed in grow bags. Similarly, trees such as mango and others are grown in the bonsai method, which is used as a natural fertilizer for yielding crops at home.
