Viral Photos Cause Global Outrage for malnourished Lions. Now he Gets Life Saving Treatment Sudan Zoo
In Khartoum, the lions had been perishing in Sudan's Al-Qureshi Park when the wildlife police guards who were charged with their upkeep stopped feeding them regularly.
On social media days after horrific images of malnourished and starving tigers in a zoo in Sudan caused global outrage.
The donation that poured in from around the world after the images went viral of emaciated animals. They have been receiving medical aid because of that donations.
In Al-Qureshi Park of Khartoum, Sudan the lions had been perishing after the wildlife police guards who were charged with their upkeep stopped feeding them regularly. Later the country's economic crisis for the animals' neglect was blamed by the staff of the park.

Nevertheless, after the heartbreaking images went viral on social media, donation of animals' lovers and wildlife enthusiasts started coming from across the world for the well-being of the lions.
From the animal welfare NGO, Four Paws International Doctors and veterinary professionals have administered "lifesaving" treatment to the animals.
The team of Four Paws found the animals to be living in dismal and uninhabitable conditions after reaching to that zoo.

After hours of infusions, Kandaka showed some improvement. She was able to stand up & walk for a while & was willing to eat. The team provided her with canned cat food, which is a good start after such a long time of malnutrition. pic.twitter.com/JU3E6LaVob
Kandaka, one of the malnourished lionesses at the zoo, to cure her dehydration she was treated by a team with infusion therapy. Until she could stand up again and showed a willingness to eat, they kept proving her with "lifesaving" drugs as well as care.
According to the Four Paws team, this was the progress of malnourished lions. The team shared the images of the procedure on Twitter.
