AP State Psychiatrists meet on July 9-10

Andhra Pradesh State Psychiatrists Annual Conference (APPSYCON-2016) would be held in Vijayawada on July 9 and 10, and, said conference organising committee Chairman Dr Indla Ramasubba Reddi. Minister for Health and Medical Education K Srinivas wiil inaugurate the conference at Hotel Fortune in the city.

Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, Ramasubba Reddi said that prominent psychiatrists across the country, including National Psychiatrists Association President Dr G Prasada Rao, Vice president Dr MVSK Raju, Southern region president Dr Ashok Reddi would attend the conference and about 200 psychiatrists form the state and 110 post graduate students of psychiatry specialisation would also participate in the event.

The conference would convey the emerging trends in Psychiatry across the world and various aspects of mental illness and mental health, conference organising secretary Dr Visal said. Prominent psychiatrist of NIMHANS, Bangalore, Dr Chittaranjan Aandrade, Dr Raghu Ram, sexologist Dr Prakash Kothari and some others from various states would exchange and share the developings in Psychiatry, he said. Dr P Krishna Mohan, Dr Ashoke participated.
