The Mahindra XUV500 is facing tough competition from the likes of the Toyota Innova Crysta and the newly launched Tata Hexa, in order to keep up with these models, Mahindra has introduced a new limited edition version of the XUV500 called the Sportz. This limited edition of the vehicle is available only in the range topping W10 variant. The Mahindra XUV500 Sportz edition comes with both manual and automatic transmission options.
The limited edition gets some added features like the car gets a sporty bonnet decal, it also gets decals on the mirrors and Sportz decals on the side. The vehicle comes with darkened alloys with the brake calipers being painted in red. The roof rails now come in orange and also the door handles come in orange. The car gets a new Sportz badge on the C-pillar, dashboard and key.
The Mahindra XUV500 Sportz gets the same features as the W10 variant. All the features including the sunroof, reverse parking camera, touchscreen infotainment system and many more have been carried over as it is. The engine used in this limited edition XUV500 is the same 2.2-litre mHawk unit which produces 140 PS and 330 Nm of torque, the unit comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission.
The vehicle comes with AWD as standard in the W10 edition. The Mahindra XUV500 Sportz limited edition is priced at Rs. 16.5 lakhs for the manual transmission and Rs 17.56 lakh for the automatic transmission variant (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
