On December 25th morning, Suneel Kumar entered into a fight between Avula Raj Kumar and others of the same area. After the brawl, he threatened Raj Kumar that he would soon be murdered. Raj Kumar and his friends Sumanth, Suresh and Sultan went to a friend’s house in Inkollu for a Christmas feast.

The two motorbikes used for their commute met with an accident near Swarna village. Due to the impact, Sultan died on the spot and the unconscious three were shifted to the Chirala government hospital.

As the news spread out in the locality, Suneel Kumar planned to kill Raj Kumar in the hospital. He reached the hospital around 3 am on December 26 and attacked Raj Kumar with a knife on the victim’s head and stomach.

The shocked Raj Kumar then ran to the I Town police station to seek protection while Suneel warned the patients, attendants and hospital staff of dire consequences if they reveal his name.

On Sunday, the I Town Circle Inspector V Suryanarayana and his team arrested the rowdy sheeter Suneel and the minor in Chirala. Suryanarayana said Suneel was also booked in a murder case earlier. He said that the activities of the rowdy sheeters in town are being tracked and the vigil has been increased from now.
