Aatma Gaurava Deeksha rally held

Bhimavaram: The students of Maddali Ramakrishnamma Zilla Parishad High School of Veeravasaram, conducted a ‘Self-esteem initiation’ (Aatma Gaurava Deeksha) rally on Thursday, as part of the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme.

Mandal Educational Officer, P Jagadamba, flagged off the rally at ZP school. The rally passed through the streets of the village where students raised slogans to create awareness on open defecation.

The MEO called upon people to construct individual toilets in their houses for a cleaner and healthier environment and to put a stop to open defecation.  Later, the School Head Mistress B Prabha Manjari released the paintings by the students on Swachh Bharat and open defecation. Veeravasaram Village Secretary JD Prasad, teachers Maddala Tata Rao, P Srinivas, Pampana Saibabu, Y Venkateswara Rao, Ch Rajesh participated in the programme among others.
