Job mela for SC/STs held

Rajamahendravaram: SC/ST Commission Chairman Karem Shivaji has said that the state government is providing many job opportunities to SC/ST unemployed youth in the state. “Abundant job opportunities are available in various sectors and the unemployed youth should enhance their skills to compete with others,” he said.

Inaugurating a special job mela for SC/ST unemployed youth on Adikavi Nannaya University campus here on Friday, he said that the exclusive job mela was being organised following the directive of the Chief Minister. As many as 36 companies participated in the mela and 1,754 candidates registered their names for the same. This was an opportunity to the SC/ST unemployed youth to get jobs. The special mela would be conducted in Prasidda Engineering College at Ananthavaram on Saturday. 

VIKAS project director, VN Rao said that the special job mela has been arranged under the aegis of SC/ST Commission for SC/ST unemployed youth and VIKAS has a history of success. University vice-chancellor, professor Murru Mutyala Naidu, Rajanagaram MLA Pendurthi Venkatesh, registrar Dr T Ashok and others were present at the event.
