New hostel proposed for Arya Vysya students

Rajamahendravaram: A new hostel would soon be established for the Arya Vysya students near Lalacheruvu with an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore. The hostel is in addition to the existing hostel on Godavari bund that would accommodate 200 students.

Speaking to reporters in YMYA hall here on Friday, Vysya Hostel president K Kanakeswara Rao said, “The proposed place for new hostel is located to be accessible to all educational institutions and is near the national highway by 1,600 square yards.” 
He further added that the construction of the new hostel was decided earlier as the existing hostel could not house all the students.

The entire hostel constructed with donations from a upcoming star night scheduled on January 7th. The event would witness the participation of about 5,000 Arya Vysya families. The names of the donors would be exhibited on plaques that would adorn the building. 

The donors of over Rs 2 lakh could recommend one student each year to be admitted in the hostel. With the help of APIIC former chairman Srighakollapu Sivarama Subramanyam and the elite of Arya Vysya Community, the task was taken up. Vysya Hostel secretary SSN Murthi, treasurer M Sivannarayana and others were present at the event.
