HELP Rammohan appointed on child protection panel
Ongole: The Government of Andhra Pradesh has appointed the director of HELP NGO in Ongole, Nimmaraju Rammohan, as the member of state Child Welfare and Protection Committee.
The state government constituted state-level and district-level committees for child welfare and protection in association with the government departments and private organisations. The Juvenile Welfare Department director will act as the chairperson for the state committee in which Rammohan will be a member along with the nominated members from state Children Commission and Human Rights Commission. The government also appointed V Bhaskar as the member of the committee under the social worker quota.
Rammohan said that the state-level committee would supervise the hostels for the children in the state and suggest the required changes to the government. “The district committees should submit quarterly reports after the inspection of all hostels to the state committee,” he said and suggested that the committee go through those reports and recommend necessary action against them.
