Govt committed to saving Telugu culture: Nakka

Guntur: Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu has said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is turning  the state into Santosha Andhra Pradesh and conducting Sankranti Sambaralu to involve the poor. 

He addressed the valedictory programme of Sankranti Sambaralu conducted by the GMC at NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium here on Tuesday night.  He reminded that the government was conducting Happy Sunday to provide recreation to the poor in the cities and towns and conducted Sankranti Sambaralu to protect our ancient culture.

He said that Sankranti Sambaralu conducted by the  GMC during the last three days attracted the residents of the city. He reminded that the government had distributed Chandranna Kanukalu to the poor families to celebrate Sankranti festival and conveyed Sankranti greetings to the people on this occasion. GMC Additional Commissioner K Ramachandra Reddy presided over the meeting. Deputy Commissioners D Srinivasa Rao and Jesu Das were among those participated in the meeting.
