MRPS demands apology from Pawan Kalyan
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) demanded an unconditional apology from Jana Sena Party chief and founder Pawan Kalyan “for his fans’ ugly behaviour, abusive and unparliamentary language against journalist and movie analyst Kathi Mahesh.”
Speaking to the media persons here on Wednesday, MRPS state president Perupogu Venkateswara Rao alleged that Pawan was tightlipped and did not bother to reply, because Mahesh belongs to Dalit community. For the past few days, Pawan fans were abusing Mahesh with provocative messages in social media for asking ‘What is Pawanism?’ Instead of replying, Pawan fans started verbal attacks on Mahesh. Venkateshwara Rao demanded that Pawan fans should stop such attacks and Pawan should tender apologies “for his fans’ vulgar behavior.”
Stating that Marxism, Leninism and Ambedkarism theories had transformed society free from caste and colour, he wondered from which theory Pawanism came from and demanded to put an end to this controversy.
He flayed Pawan for diluting various issues in the state such as Special Status, Amaravathi farmer’s problems and the Fathima Medical College students issue. He demanded that Pawan speak out on the issue. He threatened to intensify their protest if Pawan failed to explain. MRPS calendar was released on the occasion. MRPS leaders B Srinivas, Manda Nageshwara Rao, S Srinivas, P Das, J Mark and others were present.
