Meet on ‘Vijayawada through the ages’ on Feb 9, 10
Vijayawada: The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati in association with the Indian Council for Historical Research (ICHR), the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and the AP Creativity and Culture Commission will organise a two-day national seminar on ‘Vijayawada through the ages’ on February 9 and 10.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Cultural Centre CEO Dr Sivanagi Reddy said that the seminar will focus on the history of Vijayawada right from the early beginning to the modern times. It also sheds light on various aspects linked to the city. Scholars from across the country from various branches of history were invited. They would discuss on the history of Vijayawada, he said.
“All the historians and scholars will discuss on the various caves, inscriptions, temples, dynasties, culture of Vijayawada from ages,” he added. A brochure was released to mark the occasion. Interested research scholars may contact the CEO and send abstract of their papers by January 25 and full paper by January 31.
