35 women get cheques worth `5.55 lakh under NFBS

Akiveedu: Chairman of Akiveedu Agriculture Marketing Committee Motupalli Rama Vara Prasad said that the TDP government is committed to the welfare of the poor in the state.

He distributed cheques worth Rs 5.55 lakh to 35 women who lost their family head under the National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) at a programme held at Akiveedu Mandal Tahsildar office on Friday. The AMC chairman said that under NFBS, the widows would get the financial assistance for their economic development. Undi MLA VV Sivarama Raju had taken initiative to get the assistance under NFBS to the widows, he pointed out.

Mandal Tahsildar Nagarjuna Reddy said that the cheques had been disbursed to the beneficiaries enrolled up to 2016 in the mandal. He suggested targeted sections to apply online for the NFBS assistance if any beneficiaries left. Civil supplies Deputy Tahsildar Sunil, Revenue Inspector and VRO Ratnaraju, Satyanarayana, Ariff, Jakir, Ajmal, MPTC Bolla Venkatrao, Ponnamanda Narasimharao and others participated.
