500 patients attend multispecialty medical camp

Chirala: The Rotary Club of Chirala, in partnership with the Chirala Engineering College and the Altus International School, organised a free multispecialty medical camp at Rotary Community Hall, beside the Boys High School in Chirala on Sunday. Doctors from the Indo British Hospital, Vijayawada examined patients on this occasion.

Dr Gowtham Chowdary Kankanala, director of the Indo British Hospital and his team issued tokens to more than 500 patients since early morning. They diagnosed the patients for joint pains, spinal cord irregularities, hip injuries, nerve disorders, diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, asthma, diseases related to lungs, kidneys, cancer, ENT, psychology, plastic surgery and others. They also distributed medicines after necessary tests and consultation with the specialists.

The club president Dr V Amruthapani and secretary Tella Ashok Kumar said that the camp was helpful to the poor people who cannot afford to go to the multispecialty hospitals for treatment. They promised to conduct more such camps in near future as the part of social service activities through the club. 

They thanked the hospital staff including its managing director Dr Smitha Chowdary Kankanala, Dr Gowtham, Dr Smitha, Dr P Gandhi, Dr Varun J, Dr Kaushik Hari, Dr Tarunkanth, Dr C Satyanarayana Chowdary, Dr B Sarath along with the staff nurses and NCC students from the Chirala Engineering College for supporting the medical camp.
