Complaints on Aadhaar centres treated seriously: JC
Kakinada: Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna, has said that many complaints are being received against Mee Seva centres relating to change of age, date of birth etc in Aadhaar cards without proper certificates.
Speaking to the organisers of Mee Seva and Aadhaar centres, he said that as per directions of the government, the changes should be made after verifying proper certificates only. Only 73 Aadhaar centres are working out of 103 centres in the district. Some Aadhaar centres had been issuing bogus cards by taking money, he added. Meanwhile, in many Mee Seva centres, citizen charters were not exhibited. The same would be viewed seriously, he warned.
He directed Tahsildars and village revenue officers to inspect the Aadhaar centres and submit a report about their performance. Stern action would be taken against the respective employees if any lapses were found, the warned.
