KLEF students win awards in ‘Go Karting Design and Racing Challenge’

Vijayawada: Mechanical engineering students team ‘Sangfroid’ of Koneru Lakshmaiah Educational Foundation (KLEF) won prizes in ‘Go Karting Design and Racing Challenge’ organised by Imperial Society for Innovative Engineers, UK at Galgotia University, Noida on Saturday.

About 20 students of KLEF, six students of fourth year and 14 students of third year mechanical engineering participated in the event and won prizes in various events. The students won third prize in IKR-ISIE Future Award, cash prize of Rs 50,000, All India Best Team and Best Team Capitan Award, Best Presentation Skills Award and Overall Champions Award.

Sangfroid team competed with 45 teams from various IITs and NITs and other Government and Private Universities across India and achieved these laurels. The team was mentored by mechanical engineering assistant professor PNV Bala Subramanyam. He said that four months of sincere hard work and practice made the team achieve this feat. KLEF management, faculty and students congratulated the team and the mentor for their success.
