Nrusimha Swamy temple celebrates Chandana Yatra

Rajamahendravaram: Five-day-long Chandana Yatra celebrations will be held at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy temple in Simhachala Nagar here from January 25 to 29. The lord blesses the devotees with His ‘nija roopa darshanam’ on January 27, which is an important event in chandana yatra.

Disclosing the details at a press conference at the temple here on Monday, the temple trustees, K Surya Simhachalam and K Nageswara Rao said that ‘nija roopa darshanam’ would be continued from 6 am to 6 pm on January 27. “As part of the celebrations, Garuda Seva would be held at 4 pm on January 25, ‘tiru kalyanam’ on January 26, ‘suvarna pushparcchana seva’ on January 27, followed by ‘nija roopa darsanam’, ‘nitya roopa darshanam’ on January 28 and ‘tadiyaradhana’ on January 29,” the trustees informed. Stating that necessary arrangements were made in this regard, they appealed to the people to take part in the ‘Chandana Yatra’.
