APSRTC Manager all praise for Australian Govt
Guntur: APSRTC Guntur Regional Manager G Sri Hari has said the government of Australia was giving 80 percent subsidy to the public transport system in their country. He shared his experiences during his Australia tour with the staff at NTR RTC Bus Station here on Tuesday.
He said that even though private buses operate in Australia, a majority of people prefer government buses. “The staff in the government buses would respect passengers and would maintain time. They give maximum priority to the safety of passengers,” he pointed out.
The RM said that the government would give training to the newly-appointed drivers and staff and conduct sports meets for the staff. He said that the number of road accidents was very less in Australia and that the staff in the public transport would work with dedication and tries to do maximum service to the passengers. Sri Hari was felicitated at the event.
