More chemical units in state soon

Guntur: National Chemical Laboratories retired chief scientist, Dr Satyanarayana has said that the students of chemical engineering will have bright future. “More chemical units will be set up in the state very soon,” he said.

Addressing a meeting on ‘Chemical Industry -Growth-Sustainability’ held at RVR & JC Engineering College here on Wednesday, he informed that Andhra Pradesh government was setting up petro corridor. “The chemical engineering students would get employment in the petro corridor,” stated the scientist.

Prof Chandrasekhara Sarma of IIT Hyderabad said that employment opportunities were increasing in the manufacturing units also and urged the students be on the vigil. Retired IIT Mumbai professor V Govardhan Rao, Rayapati Gopala Krishna of RVR&JC College and registrar NV Srinivasa Rao were among those who participated in the meeting.
