Crack whip on brokers for pvt hospitals: JC
Kakinada: Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna made it clear that he would take strict action if anybody tries to shift the patients who were receiving treatment at the Government General Hospital to other private hospitals in the city.
He made a sudden visit to the GGH on Tuesday night. Speaking on the occasion, the JC said that he came to know that patients from the GGH had been shifted to some other private hospitals in the city. The JC warned the brokers and the private hospital managements who encourage such practices. “I will cancel the hospital’s recognition and all the permits of Arogya Sri scheme if found guilty in this matter,” he said.
He ordered the GGH Superintendent, Raghavendra Rao to take serious action against those who were identified through the CC cameras in the wards. The JC reviewed the user charges that were paid for providing services to the patients. GGH RMOs Dr TSR Murthy, Dr U Sudhir and others accompanied the JC to the GGH.
