Elect good leaders, vote responsibly: JC

Eluru: Joint Collector Pulipati Koteswara Rao has said that voters should elect good administrators and leaders for the future of the country.

Addressing the National Voters Day meeting held at KPDT High School in Ashok Nagar here on Thursday, the JC said, “People must value a vote and pave way for a good administration.” He called upon the people to create awareness among the youth who have recently.

MLC Ramu Surya Rao said that every voter should utilise his franchise to elect a good leader. “The Constitution has given the right to elect the people’s representatives through the vote,” he pointed out. The dignitaries explained to the students how to cast their votes in the model polling station that was set up on the school premises.

The MLC, Joint Collector felicitated senior voters Ramanjaneyulu, Venkata Krishna Rao and B Anjaneyulu. Joint Collector P Koteswara Rao and MLC distributed merit certificates to the students who won the competitions organised to mark the occasion.

Eluru RDO G Chakradhara Rao, Eluru Municipal Corporation Commissioner A Mohan Rao, Mandal Tahsildar Chakradhara Rao and Deputy DEO Uday Kumar took part in the event.
